Welcome to CCSD Virtual Health! We are excited to have you in the course this summer. This course is designed to provide the same health curriculum and learning experience students would receive in a traditional classroom setting.

What You Need to Know to Succeed:

1. Self-Paced Course
This is an asynchronous course. Students may work at their own pace while following the suggested due dates outlined in the 2026 Health Course Student To-Do List (attached).

2. Communication is Important
• Check Canvas regularly for announcements and updates.
• Canvas emails will receive a response within 24 business hours (Monday–Friday).
• Notify your teacher if you will be unable to work for several days.
• Students who fall behind may be contacted by their teacher.
• If your teacher emails you, please respond within 24–48 hours.
• Teachers are not required to work June 29–July 3 due to CCSD closures. Emails received during that time will be answered beginning Monday, July 6.
• Parents will only be contacted if teachers are unable to reach the student.

Summer School Dates
June 1 – June 19, 2026

Program Format
Summer School will operate using a hybrid model. Students may complete coursework virtually from home while also having access to in-person academic support.

In-Person Assistance Available
Monday–Friday
• AM Session: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• PM Session: 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Teachers and staff will be available during these hours to assist, answer questions, and help students stay on track. Students are required to stay for the entire AM session or PM session if working on campus.

Credit Recovery Course Expectations
• Work on coursework daily.
• Maintain consistent progress.
• Communicate with teachers when assistance is needed.
• Follow all CCSD policies and expectations.

Students who fall significantly behind pace may be required to:
• Meet with a teacher virtually or in person.
• Attend in-person support sessions.
• Attend Summer School in person for the remainder of the program.

Academic Integrity

First Offense
• Required teacher conference.
• Required in-person attendance for the remainder of Summer School.

Second Offense
• Dismissal from Summer School.
• No refund issued.

Cell Phone Policy (In-Person Attendance)
• Phones are not permitted during instructional time.
• Scheduled breaks will be provided.

Consequences
• First Offense: Phone confiscated.
• Second Offense: Dismissal from Summer School with no refund.

EOC Testing Dates

• June 10 – Lit/Comp. 2 B (Section 1)  @ 8am
• June 11 – Lit/Comp. 2 B (Section 2) @ 8am  **MUST TAKE BOTH SECTIONS OF LIT/COMP. 2**
• June 12 – Algebra I B @ 8am 
• June 15 – U.S. History B @ 8am 
• June 15 - Biology B @10am 

EOC assessments count as 20% of the final course grade.

Senior Graduation
Graduation for seniors who successfully complete their summer coursework will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

Students planning to participate should notify:
