i-Grad Virtual Academy is CCSD’s fully virtual high school. i-Grad is designed to meet the flexible needs of today’s learners while delivering high-quality, accredited education. As an NCAA-approved institution, we support students with academic goals that extend beyond graduation, including collegiate athletics. Technology Requirements

Q: Do students need to have their own device?
A: Yes, all students must have their own computer or laptop device with a fully functional keyboard, webcam, and microphone to access their coursework.

Q: What internet access is required?
A: Students must have consistent, reliable Wi-Fi/internet access at home.

Q: How do students access their coursework?
A: Students complete academic work through Canvas and Edgenuity.

Academics

Q: What is the late work policy?
A: The CCSD late work policy applies to all courses. Details can be found in the teachers’ syllabi located in Canvas.

Q: How can families track student grades?
A: Canvas and Edgenuity send weekly grade summaries. Grades for Canvas can be checked via the observer profile. Grades for Edgenuity courses can be checked in the Family Portal.

Q: Where can I find the Code of Conduct?

Q: What is the Acceptable Use Policy?
A: Students must follow the district’s policy for responsible use of technology and online platforms.

Q: What is the policy on academic dishonesty?
A: Students are expected to engage authentically with all their coursework. Instances of academic dishonesty will result in disciplinary action as defined by the CCSD Code of Conduct, up to and including expulsion.

Q: Is there a policy on AI usage?
A: Students must follow the ACTIVE AI Usage Guide to ensure responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence.

Support & Communication

Q: How do teachers communicate with students?
A: All teacher communication is conducted with parents and students through Canvas.

Q: How do families receive schoolwide updates?
A: ParentSquare is used for announcements, reminders, and important school communications.

Q: When can students get help from teachers?
A: Teacher office hours are listed in their course syllabi and are offered virtually via Teams to support student success.

Q: Can students visit campus?
A: Campus visits must be scheduled one day in advance using a teacher’s Bookings page. When arriving, students must enter through the ACTIVE front doors, check in at the front desk, and wait to be escorted down to i-Grad. All students must check out using the same process upon leaving campus.

Q: How is transportation provided for on-campus appointments?
A: Families are responsible for transportation to and from campus when appointments are booked.
